Pausing One Profile or Device Without Affecting Others

Sometimes one child needs to go offline without punishing the whole house. Here's how targeted pause works at the profile and device level.

Targeted consequences

Grounding one child shouldn't take the internet from their siblings. Guardian-CORR lets you pause at two levels of granularity, so the consequence lands only where it should.

Pausing a profile

On the profile page, use the pause control to take that one child's devices offline — every device assigned to the profile, on any schedule, until you resume it. Their bedtime and category rules stay intact; the pause simply layers on top.

Pausing a single device

For finer control — a lost phone, a console that needs to earn its way back, one device confiscated — pause the individual device from the Devices page. The rest of the child's devices keep working, and the pause survives the device reconnecting.

What to expect

Pauses take effect within about a minute and are clearly shown in the portal so you don't forget one is active. The device simply can't reach the internet while paused; local network functions like Wi-Fi printing still work.

Combined with the big switch

A device or profile pause works independently of the whole-home Pause Internet toggle — resuming one doesn't resume the other, so you can unwind consequences one at a time.
