FAQ
Managing Your Household Settings
Household settings cover your account, Wi-Fi, gateway status, and billing in one place. Here's a tour of what each section controls.
The Settings hub
All household administration lives under Settings in the portal, organized into tabs so each task has an obvious home:
- Account: your name, login, and password — plus the other members of your household and their roles.
- Household: the household name, owner details, and your location label — useful for families with more than one home.
- Network: Wi-Fi names and passwords for each band, applied to the gateway within a minute of saving.
- Status: the gateway's live health — online state, firmware version, last check-in, and update history.
- Billing: your plan, payment method, and subscription history.
Good habits
- Keep a second parent on the account so a lost phone never locks the household out.
- Review the members list when sitters or relatives change — access should match reality.
- Check Status after any internet outage to confirm the gateway reconnected and your rules re-applied.
What settings don't do
Settings changes never alter your protection rules — profiles, categories, and schedules are managed from their own pages, so you can rename a network or update a card without touching what your kids experience.
