Inviting Another Parent or Guardian

Both parents — or a trusted grandparent or sitter — can manage the household from their own login. Here's how invites and roles work.

Why separate logins beat shared passwords

Each adult should have their own account on the household. You keep your own notification preferences, the activity log records who made which change, and you can remove access instantly if a phone is lost — no password to rotate for everyone.

Sending an invite

Open Settings → Users in the portal and choose Invite. Enter the person's email and pick their role:

  • Parent: full access — profiles, rules, schedules, and household settings.
  • Member: can view the dashboard and activity, but cannot change rules. Ideal for a babysitter or older sibling who just needs to see what's happening.

The invited person receives an email with a join link; once they sign in, they're attached to your household automatically.

Managing access later

The same Users page shows every member. You can change a role or remove someone at any time — removal takes effect immediately, and their account is simply detached from your household.
