Setting Up Your First Child Profile
A profile bundles an age tier, category rules, and schedules for one person. Here's how to create your first one and what to set first.
What a profile is
In Guardian-CORR, a profile is a set of rules attached to an age tier — child, young adult, or adult. Rather than configuring each device separately, you assign devices to a profile and manage the rules once. Create one profile per person so each child's rules can evolve as they grow.
Creating the profile
Open Profiles in the portal and choose Add profile. Give it your child's name and pick the starting age tier. Each tier ships with sensible defaults: the child tier blocks adult content, gambling, and dating categories, while allowing general browsing.
The first three things to set
- Categories: review the default blocks and adjust any single category to match your family's values.
- Bedtime schedule: set a nightly offline window so the internet ends when the day does.
- Devices: assign your child's phone, tablet, or laptop to the profile on the Devices page.
Rules apply within about a minute, and every future device you assign to that profile inherits the same protection automatically.
