Family vs. Family+: Which Plan Is Right for You?
Both plans run the same gateway and the same filtering engine. Here's what the Family+ upgrade actually adds and how to decide.
The shared foundation
Every plan includes the full protection core: the gateway's network-level filtering, unlimited profiles and devices, category rules with per-tier customization, bedtime and custom schedules, the activity log, alerts, and access requests. Nothing about basic safety is held back — a Family household's kids are exactly as protected as a Family+ one.
What Family+ adds
- Weekly email reports: the digest of blocked events, trends, and alerts delivered to your inbox.
- Expanded history: longer activity retention for reviewing patterns over weeks rather than days.
- Premium support: faster response times when you need help with the hardware or the rules.
- Early access: new filtering capabilities land for Family+ households first.
How to decide
Choose Family if you'll check the portal yourself and don't need the extras — it's the complete safety product. Choose Family+ if you want the safety picture to come to you rather than going to get it: the weekly report is genuinely the feature that changes behavior, because families who see trends act on them.
Switching later
Both plans are billed annually, and upgrading takes effect immediately — your gateway, rules, and history all carry over untouched, so there's no penalty for starting on Family.
