Connecting Your Devices to Guardian Wi-Fi
Protection begins the moment a device joins your Guardian Wi-Fi network. Learn which devices to move over first and how to do it without interruptions.
How protection begins
Guardian-CORR filters at the network level, so a device is protected the moment it connects to your Guardian Wi-Fi — no app to install, no settings to change on the device.
Which network to join
The gateway broadcasts up to three networks: 2.4 GHz (longest range, best for older smart-home gear), 5 GHz (faster, for phones and laptops), and 6 GHz (newest devices). Pick the fastest one your device supports; protection is identical on all of them.
Moving over without downtime
Keep your old router's Wi-Fi active while you move devices one at a time. Start with your kids' devices so their protection starts immediately, then migrate TVs, consoles, and smart-home gear, and finally your own. Once everything has moved over, you can disable the old network so devices can't quietly reconnect to an unfiltered path.
Check your work
Open the Devices page in the portal — every connected device appears there automatically. Anything missing is still on the old network.
