Parental controls for gaming console

Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, and other consoles have almost no web filtering of their own — the Switch barely has a browser, and handhelds like the Steam Deck are full Linux computers. Guardian-CORR protects the network they connect to: while a console is on your protected home network, restricted content can't load, and schedules end online sessions at bedtime.

Guardian-CORR protects your gaming console while it is connected to your protected home network. Away from home — on cellular or another Wi-Fi network — the device uses its normal, unfiltered connection. For away-from-home coverage on phones, you can pair Guardian-CORR with the device's built-in controls.

How setup works

  1. 1

Plug the Guardian gateway into your existing router and connect your devices to the Guardian network

  2. 2

Create a profile for each child and assign their devices — nothing is installed on the gaming console

  3. 3

Filtering, schedules, and alerts apply automatically while the gaming console is at home

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install anything on the gaming console?▾

No. Filtering happens on the Guardian gateway, so the gaming console is protected as soon as it's connected to your home Wi-Fi — no app, no profile install.

Does it work when the gaming console is away from home?▾

No — Guardian-CORR protects the gaming console while it is connected to your protected home network. On cellular or another Wi-Fi network, it uses its normal connection.

Can my child turn the protection off from the gaming console?▾

Not while at home. The rules live on the gateway, not the device — there's nothing on the gaming console to remove, reset, or sign out of.

Protect every gaming console in your home

Plug in the gateway, create a profile, and every screen in the house is protected.
